No Fap First Week

Hello, Hello, people, it has been a week since I went without porn or masturbating. And, even after the massive trial I underwent, well, I am still breathing.  

Okay, I am just kidding. It was maybe nothing SO dramatic, but well, it has been quite a week.  

So here I am, checking in to tell you all about my experience so far of going without porn and masturbating for a week. It’s been an eye-opening experience that’s changed more than just my daily routine. 

Now, this might sound like a small feat for some, but for me, it’s been a week filled with unexpected challenges, surprising benefits and discovering surprising things I am capable of.  

Getting back to my experience this past week, let me start from the beginning.   

Okay, so it all started when I stumbled upon a similar community post. Someone was bravely sharing their story of going without porn or masturbating, and the positive changes they experienced were too compelling to ignore. 

Their words resonated with me deeply. They spoke about feeling more energized, having a better mental state, and even noticing a shift in how they viewed themselves and others.  

It got me thinking: could I experience those same benefits? 

Now, I have always been quite inquisitive. I really like trying new things. In fact, that is how I landed up watching porn. It started with my curiosity, eventually blowing into a great addiction.   

And as I knew porn addiction was affecting my life (even though I won’t accept it out loud), I decided to give No fap a shot.  

The first 2 days were extremely tough. It’s like my body was protesting against this sudden change in routine. But I persevered, reminding myself of the potential rewards waiting on the other side.  

To deal with it better, I kept myself busy. Whenever the urge struck, I used to first keep my phone away and myself away from other devices. Then, if I was not working or had anything to do on my hands, I used to go out for a walk.  

One day, I ended up baking a nice chocolate cake just to keep myself distracted.  

And trust me, each time I resisted the temptation, it felt like a small victory. In fact, I guess those victories added up.  

By the end of the week today, I can say I am feeling more alive than ever before. My sleep routine has improved, and I wake up each morning feeling refreshed and ready to deal with the day ahead. 

But the benefits didn’t stop there. Something magical has happened to my skin – it cleared up like never before. It’s as if removing constant porn and masturbation from my life has had a direct impact on my physical health. And as a bonus, I find myself more in tune with my emotions, no longer numbing myself to the world around me. 

Perhaps the most surprising change of all is how I view others now, especially women. Today, I am not objectifying them solely for their bodies. Instead, I find myself appreciating them for who they are, with hopes, dreams, and complexities just like me. 

And this is all just in one week! It has given me great motivation to keep moving. I just can’t wait to get my hands on all the goods that come with quitting porn.  

Now, I know what you might be thinking – is this sustainable? Can I keep up this momentum beyond just one week? Well, to be honest, I’m not sure. But what I do know is that I’m willing to keep fighting, to keep pushing forward, no matter how challenging it may be. I am aiming to give my best.  

In the end here, I would just like to tell you – if you decide to take up this challenge & are doubtful about it, well, don’t think much. Just give it one try.  

You never know what positive changes await on the other side. Trust me, it’s all worth it.
